Welcome to Barnacre Alpacas run by Debbie and Paul Rippon.
We're originally townies with office jobs from the housing estates of Nottingham and the biggest animal we'd looked after was a cat from the RSPCA. We moved to Northumberland in 2006 when Paul "accidentally" took a job here. So Debbie "accidentally" quit hers and we got our first 3 alpacas. After a lot of learning, help and hard work we have built a farm from scratch and now have around 300 alpacas!
We breed and have for sale friendly champion alpacas in Northumberland and also use the fleeces of our alpacas to make beautiful hand made knitwear which you can buy at our online shop or at our alpaca farm. Whether you're an established breeder, a newcomer or just an interested visitor, we'd like to invite you to come along and see our herd, by appointment please, and find out more about why we love alpacas!
Phil and I bought our first alpacas from Debbie and Paul at Barnacre. Having researched other specialists in the region we decided that Debbie and Paul seemed to be the most passionate and most likely to give us the ongoing help we needed as novices. As it turned out our judgement was spot on!
Thank you both for a brilliant time at your place on Saturday, the delivery, style etc of the course was top draw.
