Straight from nature to nurture, these beautiful cabled fingerless mitts have been hand knitted in 100% Barnacre Alpaca yarn, from Supreme Champion Thor whose fleece has been processed locally at a specific alpaca mini mill without the use of harsh chemicals.
Barnacre Alpaca yarn is warm, luxuriously soft and strong and hypoallergenic and is 100% natural and fully sustainable from rural Northumberland. Alpacas originate from the Altiplano in South America where the Andes are at their wildest. The temperature there fluctuates from 24°C down to -20°C so you can be sure that your fingers will be protected from the elements in these fantastic gloves.
All Barnacre knitwear comes with full washing instructions and details of the animals who donated their fleece to enable you to follow their progress on the “Meet the Herd” section of our website.
