Our alpaca walk ‘n’ talks are enjoyable, informative and you always leave with a smile, lots of pictures and a story to tell! Hundreds of people have been on them and the record holder is someone who has now been 14 times!
The walks happen all year round and you need to book in advance. Weekends tend to be busier and the nicer the weather, the busier we get!
We start off by introducing you to the alpacas and then we take you for a guided walk with your very own alpaca on a rope and halter. The alpacas love their walks because they get to eat new grass and you feed them carrot slices (that we provide). The walk is about a mile on pretty flat ground which takes us just over an hour, the whole walk is in the safety and beauty of our private 110 acre grounds at Turpin’s Hill Farm in the fabulous Tyne Valley, Northumberland NE15 OJX. We can’t stop talking alpaca and during your visit we will share some information about their history and personalities as we walk round the farm. It’s highly likely we will also meet the sheep, Angora and pygmy goats, chickens, donkeys, hares, cats and any other creature we happen across!
One of our visitors wrote a lovely article about his time with us and you can read it by clicking here.
The alpaca walk n talk group sizes vary, weekends are generally busier. You can come on your own or we can accommodate groups of up to 20 – we’ve done a few company team building events and several hen do’s. The minimum age to go on the walk is 7 and children under 16 have to be accompanied by a paying adult.
At only £20 per person this is a real treat so please contact us to arrange your booking or to ask any other questions. Payment is accepted by cash or card on the day or you can purchase walk n talk vouchers at our online shop which are great to give as presents.
Debbie, Paul and the alpacas look forward to welcoming you very soon!
